* Prices are a guide. “From £150 per month” is the starting price for a standard website designed, built and managed by Digital Boffins. Your price depends on things like the number of pages, features (such as bookings, an online shop or integrations with other systems), copywriting and photography, and how much ongoing support you need. The one-off set-up charge covers getting your domain and hosting in place and launching your site. Third-party costs, such as domain registration and renewals, email, premium tools or paid integrations, depend on your choices and may be charged separately. Digital Boffins is not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added to our prices. Everything is confirmed in a written quote before any work starts.

How much does a website cost?
Our websites start from £150 per month, plus a one-off set-up charge for your domain, hosting and launch, with no VAT to add because we're not VAT-registered. The exact price depends on the size of the site, the features you need and any third-party costs, and we confirm it all in a written quote before we start.
What's included in the monthly fee?
Typically: hosting with SSL security, keeping your site fast and up to date, small content changes, your AI-ready set-up (structured data, sitemap, llms.txt) and a spam-protected contact form. The exact inclusions are listed in your quote.
Will my website work on mobile phones?
Yes. Every site we build is designed mobile-first, then scaled up for tablets and desktops. That matters for customers and for Google, which uses the mobile version of your site for indexing and ranking.
What does "AI-optimised" actually mean?
It means your site is built so search engines and AI assistants can easily read and understand it: clear, plain-English pages that answer real questions, structured data describing your business and services, a sitemap, crawler-friendly settings and an llms.txt summary. It won't guarantee AI recommendations (nothing can), but it removes the technical barriers.
Can you move my existing website?
Yes. We can rebuild your current site, bring your content across and set up redirects from your old page addresses, so you keep the Google visibility you've already earned. We did exactly that when we moved this website off Squarespace.
Can I make changes myself?
Most clients simply send us their changes and we handle them, so nothing breaks. Small updates are part of your monthly plan; your quote sets out the allowance.
Do you build online shops?
We can add simple online selling, booking systems and integrations. Larger e-commerce builds are quoted separately, depending on what you need.
